We’ve been talking about authenticity all month - not in a lofty, soul-searching way, but in the everyday stuff. The quiet choices. The ways we show up when no one’s watching.
And honestly? This week I’ve found myself slipping a little.
Saying yes when I didn’t mean it. Falling back into old patterns.
Trying to keep the peace instead of saying what I really think.
It happens. Especially when we’re tired.
So this week’s edition isn’t about making big changes. It’s about checking in and noticing what’s going on underneath, coming back to what matters.
Why Authenticity Isn’t a Finish Line
You don’t figure out who you are and stay that way forever.
You don’t stop people-pleasing overnight.
You don’t suddenly start speaking your truth and never hesitate again.
Because life is messy. People are complicated. And you’re allowed to change your mind.
So the goal isn’t getting it right all the time. It’s noticing when something feels off and returning to yourself, even if it’s just a tiny step.
This Week’s Edit: Staying Connected (Even When It’s Quiet)
Take 10 minutes. Answer these questions honestly. No overthinking.
🟡 Where do I feel most like myself right now?
It could be a person, a place, a time of day, a habit. Let it anchor you.
🟡 Where do I feel furthest from myself?
What’s draining you or making you second-guess yourself? What are you doing out of habit that doesn’t feel right anymore?
🟡 What would it look like to choose myself in one small way today?
It might mean saying no. Or yes. Or pausing before answering something out of obligation. Doesn’t need to be a big gesture. Just something real.
🟡 How can I keep this close?
Write yourself a note. Add a reminder to your phone. Leave a post-it on your computer screen. Something you’ll actually see when the week gets busy again.
Returning Builds Trust

Earlier this month, we talked about congruence — that feeling of alignment between what’s happening inside you and how you’re showing up.
But staying in that place all the time isn’t the goal. What matters more is your willingness to notice when something’s off - and come back.
That’s what builds self-trust.
Not always having the answer. Not always getting it right.
Just trusting yourself to check in. To course-correct. To be honest.
Even when it’s a bit uncomfortable.
Quick Edit: If You Do Nothing Else, Try This
Instead of: “I thought I’d worked through this by now.”
Try: “Something feels off - I’m just going to check in with myself.”
That’s it. That’s the shift.
